Mobile App Testing

Native and hybrid mobile app testing across iOS and Android. Real devices, real users, real quality — before your app hits the store.

What we test

Mobile apps fail in ways that web apps don't: interrupted connections, varied screen sizes, background app behaviour, push notification edge cases, and gesture interactions that break on specific device/OS combinations. Our mobile QA engineers test on real iOS and Android devices — not just simulators — covering functional flows, performance under varying network conditions, accessibility (WCAG on mobile), and app store compliance checks before submission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you test on real devices or simulators?
Both, but real devices are our default for final validation. Simulators are useful for rapid iteration during development, but real devices catch issues that simulators mask — particularly around performance, gesture handling, and hardware-specific behaviour.
Which iOS and Android versions do you cover?
We test against the latest two major iOS versions and the latest three major Android versions by default, covering the majority of active devices. We can expand coverage to match your analytics if needed.
Can you automate mobile tests?
Yes. We build automated mobile test suites using Appium and Detox for React Native apps, which can run in CI/CD pipelines on BrowserStack or a device farm of your choice. Automation is ideal for regression coverage; manual testing handles exploratory and usability work.
Do you test mobile accessibility?
Yes. We test against WCAG mobile criteria including touch target sizes, screen reader compatibility (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android), colour contrast, and focus order. This is especially important for apps serving healthcare, public sector, or financial audiences.
